Q: What is the age limit? 
A: The age limit to apply is 14 years of age.  Juniors range from 14-17 years.

Q: Do I have to have any prior training to apply?
A: No.  No special training is needed to apply, but once you are accepted be ready to learn!
Q: Are there any fees associated with membership?
A: No.  There is no fee to apply and all training and equipment necessary is supplied, free of charge.  All we ask for is a willingness to learn.
Q: Would I be permitted to ride the firetruck?
A: Yes.  Once accepted, you will be covered under company insurance and will be permitted to ride the truck.  After initial training, you will also be permitted to respond to emergency calls!  We consider this perfect On the Job Training.
Q: What am I allowed to do?
A: You will be permitted to participate in all activities allowable by law.  This is to ensure safety of all Junior Firefighters.
Q: What is required?
A: As a Junior Firefighter you will be required to attend training (In house and State level), conform to all laws including curfew, driving times (if applicable), job restrictions, and most importantly a passing academic grade point average.

A: You can contact your local firehouse via phone or website, they will be happy to hear from you!
